Why the "Certificates" link in your PA portal doesn't show your new certification — and where to actually look.
⚠️ The "Certificates" link is misleading.
The Certificates page in the PA patient portal only shows your current active certificate — not upcoming or pending ones. This confuses many patients, but it's completely normal.

Where to find your doctor's certification
The up-to-date information about your certification is shown in a different place:
- Log in to your PA Medical Marijuana Patient Portal
- Go to Profile Settings (or click your name in the top right)
- Look for the "Card Information" box
- This box shows your certification status and card details
What you'll see in the Card Information box
The Card Information box displays:
- Your current card status and expiration date
- Whether a new certification has been submitted by your doctor
- When your new card will be mailed
💡 Good to know:
The doctor's certification is what triggers the state to print and mail your new card. Once your current card expires, the new certificate the doctor issued will appear on the Certificates page. Until then, check the Card Information box for the latest status.
