How soon can I visit a dispensary?
After you register on the MI CRA portal and pay the $40 state fee, you'll receive a temporary card by email — often the same day. You can use that at any dispensary with your state ID.
How long is my Michigan card valid?
Two full years from the date of issue — one of the longest in the country.

Can I use my MI card in other states?
Michigan accepts some out-of-state medical cards, and some states accept Michigan cards. We also certify in Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, and Virginia.
