The code depends on your state: TRULIEVENEW / TRULIEVER in Pennsylvania and Ohio, WVNEW / WVREN in West Virginia, MDNEW / MDREN in Maryland, and TRU25 for any Florida visit. The same codes are printed on the Trulieve tent cards and business cards at the register.

Pennsylvania and Ohio: $95 new (regularly $125), $45 renewal (regularly $50).

Every state charges its own registration fee separately, paid directly to the state. Pennsylvania's is $50.

Florida law requires a physician to examine a patient in person before issuing a medical cannabis certification. There's no telehealth option there the way there is in the other states, and it applies to every visit type — new patients, transfers, and renewals all come to the office.

Yes. Florida patients can transfer to a new certifying physician, and it costs less than starting fresh — $124 with TRU25 (regularly $149). The visit is in person at the Fort Lauderdale office like any other Florida appointment. Bring your current card and any records from your previous physician if you have them.

In Maryland, yes. Complete registration through the MCA OneStop portal first — once approved you'll receive your MCA Patient ID Number, which is needed for certification. See our full MD process guide.

Yes — across Pennsylvania's DOH portal, West Virginia's OMC portal, Maryland's OneStop, Ohio's OMMCP, and Florida's OMMU. We help with logins, address verification, state fees, payment issues, and troubleshooting. Most "my card isn't working at the dispensary" problems are portal issues rather than certification issues, and we sort those out with you.

One caveat on Maryland: because OneStop registration requires your full Social Security Number, we recommend you complete that step yourself. We're available if you get stuck.

In Maryland, medical patients skip the 9% adult-use sales tax, get higher purchase limits (120g per 30 days versus the recreational per-transaction cap), access medical-only products, and qualify at 18+ instead of 21+. For regular consumers the tax savings often cover the certification within a few months.

Your certification works at every licensed dispensary in the state where it was issued, so your card isn't limited to Trulieve stores.

No — medical cards are state-specific. A PA card works at PA dispensaries, a WV card in West Virginia, and so on. If you split time between states, you'd need a separate certification in each state where you want to purchase. Trulieve partner pricing applies in all five.

No problem. Your doctor will try again and may text you. Please keep your ringer on during your window — calls can appear as "Unknown" or "Spam Risk," so don't screen those out. If we can't reach you at all, our team will email to reschedule at no charge. Florida patients are seen in person, so just call or text to move a Fort Lauderdale appointment.

Most patients don't need to provide records to be approved. Our doctors evaluate you based on your current symptoms and history at the appointment. If you have records they can help, but they aren't required. Florida patients should bring any records with them to the Fort Lauderdale office. Yes. The tent cards, business cards, and certification information Trulieve makes available at the register point patients to this page. Trulieve directs cardholders here for new certifications and renewals, and the codes printed on those materials are the same ones that apply when you book here.

Most patients can shop the same day or within 24 hours. After your appointment your certification is submitted to the state — once you complete registration and pay the state fee, your card becomes active and Trulieve will accept it at the register. Maryland patients should note the 120-day rule: your certification must be used for a purchase within 120 days or it becomes void.
