Your discount applies when you book through this page. The code depends on your state: TRULIEVENEW / TRULIEVER in Pennsylvania, WVNEW / WVREN in West Virginia and MDNEW / MDREN in Maryland (enter at checkout), and TRU25 for any Florida visit. Ohio visits are at our standard rate, no code needed.

Pennsylvania: $95 new (regularly $125), $45 renewal (regularly $50).

West Virginia: $95 new (regularly $125), $50 renewal (regularly $75 — you save $25).

Ohio: $125 new, $50 renewal (standard rate).

Maryland: $95 new (regularly $125), $50 renewal (regularly $75 — you save $25).

Florida: $174 new (regularly $199), $124 transfer (regularly $149), $74 renewal (regularly $99).

Any state registration fee is paid separately, directly to the state. Pennsylvania's is $50 a year and Florida's is $75; Ohio charges none.

Florida law requires a physician to examine a patient in person before issuing a medical cannabis certification. There's no telehealth option there the way there is in the other states, and it applies to every visit type — new patients, transfers, and renewals all come to the office.

Yes. Florida patients can transfer to a new certifying physician, and it costs less than starting fresh — $124 with TRU25 (regularly $149). The visit is in person at the Fort Lauderdale office like any other Florida appointment. Bring your current card and any records from your previous physician if you have them.

In Maryland, yes. Complete registration through the MCA OneStop portal first — once approved you'll receive your MCA Patient ID Number, which is needed for certification. See our full MD process guide.

In Ohio, no — your provider creates your registry profile and the state emails you to activate it. In Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Florida, registration happens after your certification is issued, and we walk you through it.

Yes — across Pennsylvania's DOH portal, West Virginia's OMC portal, Maryland's OneStop, Ohio's patient registry, and Florida's OMMU. We help with logins, address verification, state fees, payment issues, and troubleshooting. Most "my card isn't working at the dispensary" problems are portal issues rather than certification issues, and we sort those out with you.

One caveat on Maryland: because OneStop registration requires your full Social Security Number, we recommend you complete that step yourself. We're available if you get stuck.

In Maryland, medical patients skip the 12% adult-use sales tax, get higher purchase limits (120g per 30 days versus the recreational per-transaction cap), access medical-only products, and qualify at 18+ instead of 21+.

In Ohio, medical patients skip the 10% adult-use excise tax, get higher limits, qualify at 18+ instead of 21+, and get dispensary medical pricing — with no state registration fee. For regular shoppers, the tax savings often cover the certification within a few months.

Every Trulieve in the state where your card was issued. In the states we serve that's 19 in Pennsylvania, 10 in West Virginia, 8 in Ohio, 3 in Maryland, and Trulieve's Florida network. Pick your state above for the full list. Your certification works at every licensed dispensary in the state where it was issued, so your card isn't limited to Trulieve stores.

No — medical cards are state-specific. A PA card works at PA dispensaries, a WV card in West Virginia, and so on. If you split time between states, you'd need a separate certification in each state where you want to purchase. We certify in all five.

No problem. Your doctor will try again and may text you. Please keep your ringer on during your window — calls can appear as "Unknown" or "Spam Risk," so don't screen those out. If we can't reach you at all, our team will email to reschedule at no charge. Florida patients are seen in person, so just call or text to move a Fort Lauderdale appointment.

Records help but aren't required for every patient. Our doctors review your current symptoms and history at the appointment, and records give them useful context if you have them. Florida patients should bring any records with them to the Fort Lauderdale office. If you're unsure whether your condition qualifies, call (814) 360-5353 before booking.

Most patients can shop within a day or two. After your appointment your certification is submitted to the state — once you complete registration and pay the state fee, your card becomes active and Trulieve will accept it at the register. Maryland patients should note the 120-day rule: your certification must be used for a purchase within 120 days or it becomes void.
