Both Pennsylvania and West Virginia have published lists of qualifying medical conditions. Records help but aren't strictly required for every patient. If you have a recent diagnosis or documentation of an existing condition, upload it during intake — it speeds the call along and gives your provider context. If you don't have records readily available, your provider will still talk through your medical history on the call and determine whether you qualify.

Most patients can shop the same day or within 24-48 hours. In Pennsylvania, after portal registration and paying the state fee, you receive a temporary digital card that dispensaries accept immediately. In West Virginia, the process is similar — once your certification is in the state system and you complete patient registration with the WV Office of Medical Cannabis, you can shop right away.

Absolutely. Your medical marijuana card is valid at every licensed dispensary in the state where it was issued — there's no requirement to shop exclusively at Zen Leaf. Your card works statewide regardless of which dispensary you eventually visit.

Get the certification for the state where you legally reside — your ID determines which state's program you qualify for, not which dispensary is closest. If you live in Pennsylvania with a PA ID, you cannot use a WV card at PA dispensaries (and vice versa), even if a Zen Leaf store across the state line is geographically closer. The two states do not have reciprocity for medical marijuana cards.
