Your discount is applied when you book through this page. Use RISENEW for new patients or RISERENEW for renewals in Pennsylvania, and RISE25 for any Florida visit — new patient, transfer, or renewal. In Maryland, enter MDNEW or MDREN at checkout. In Ohio, Virginia, Minnesota and New York, visits are at our standard rate with no code needed.

Pennsylvania: $95 new (regularly $125), $45 renewal (regularly $50).

Florida: $174 new (regularly $199), $124 transfer (regularly $149), $74 renewal (regularly $99).

Maryland: $95 new with MDNEW (regularly $125), $50 renewal with MDREN (regularly $75).

Standard rate elsewhere: Ohio $125 new / $50 renewal; Virginia and New York $125 new / $75 renewal; Minnesota $149 for a 3-year certification.

Any state registration fee is paid separately, directly to the state. Pennsylvania's is $50 a year and Florida's is $75; Ohio, Virginia and New York charge no state fee.

Yes. Florida law requires a physician to examine a patient in person before issuing a medical cannabis certification, so there is no telehealth option in Florida. Florida patients are seen at our Fort Lauderdale office.

Yes — Florida patients can transfer to a new certifying physician. Transfers are $124 with the RISE25 code (regularly $149), and the visit is in person at our Fort Lauderdale office. Bring your current card and any records from your previous physician if you have them.

Yes — it's the part most patients get stuck on, and support is part of the certification, not an add-on. We help with Pennsylvania's DOH portal, Ohio's registry, Maryland's OneStop, Minnesota's patient registry, and Florida's OMMU registry.

Two states work differently. Maryland runs in the opposite order: you register with the MCA through OneStop before your certification, because your provider files the certification into that profile. In Ohio you don't self-register; your provider creates your registry profile and the state emails you to activate it. State-by-state guides here.

Generally no — medical marijuana cards are state-specific. A PA card works at PA dispensaries, an Ohio card at Ohio dispensaries, and so on. If you split time between states, you need a certification in each state where you want to buy. We certify in all seven RISE states listed on this page.

Pennsylvania's medical marijuana program prohibits combustion/smoking of cannabis flower. Approved forms include vaporization of dry leaf, vape cartridges, tinctures, capsules, topicals, and concentrates. RISE and other PA dispensaries carry products in all of these approved forms.

For telehealth patients, your provider will try you again and may follow up by text. Keep your ringer on during your selected window — calls can show up as "Unknown," "No Caller ID," or "Spam Risk," so don't screen those out. If we can't reach you at all, our team will email you to reschedule at no charge. Florida patients are seen in person, so if you need to move your Fort Lauderdale appointment just call or text us.

Pennsylvania, Ohio, Minnesota and Florida each publish a list of qualifying conditions — chronic pain, PTSD, anxiety (in PA), cancer, epilepsy, Crohn's disease, MS, Parkinson's and others.

Maryland includes a broad catch-all for chronic or debilitating conditions. Virginia and New York have no list at all — a registered practitioner can certify for any condition they believe cannabis may help.

If you're unsure, your provider will discuss your conditions at your appointment.

Records help but aren't strictly required for every patient. If you have a recent diagnosis or documentation, upload it during intake — it speeds the visit and gives your provider context. Florida patients should bring any records to the Fort Lauderdale office.

Pennsylvania: usually within a day or so — once you complete portal registration and pay the state fee, PA issues a temporary digital card that dispensaries accept.

Ohio: after your provider creates your registry profile, activate it from the state's email. Digital cards usually follow within a business day or two.

Virginia: your written certification is your access — no state registration or fee. Bring it and your photo ID.

New York: you're enrolled automatically when your certification is issued, with no state fee. Bring the certification and your photo ID.

Maryland: because you register with the MCA first, you can shop once the certification shows active on your profile. Make your first purchase within 120 days.

Minnesota: finish your registration in the state's patient registry; you can shop once it's approved.

Florida: after your visit, submit your registry application and $75 fee to the OMMU. You can shop once the state approves it.

Yes. Your information is kept confidential and used only for your certification and any follow-up support you request. It is never sold and never shared with dispensaries.
