Pennsylvania Patients — Both New and Renewing

If you live in Pennsylvania and have a qualifying medical condition, you can become a medical marijuana patient. Green Bridge Society helps you through the entire process — not just the doctor's visit.

New Patients

We'll get you certified, walk you through the state registry, and make sure you know what to expect at the dispensary. No part of the process gets skipped.

Renewing Patients

Your annual recertification is easier than ever. The full renewal happens over the phone, and we typically get patients re-certified the same day they book.

Why Pennsylvania Patients Choose Green Bridge Society

We're Pennsylvania, not a call center

We know this state's program because we work in it every day. When you call us, you talk to people who understand the registry, the dispensaries, and what actually matters for patients here.

Phone appointments that work around your life

Your appointment happens over a simple phone call — from your couch, your lunch break, your kitchen table. No video required, no apps to download, no driving, no waiting room, no time off work.

Same-day and next-day appointments

Most patients book and get certified within 24 hours. If you're in pain or trying to start treatment quickly, you shouldn't have to wait weeks.

Affordable, transparent pricing

No surprise fees. No upsells. We tell you exactly what your appointment costs before you book — and what the state fee is on top of that.

Help with the state portion too

Most services stop at the certification. We don't. We help you finish your registration with the Pennsylvania Medical Marijuana Program and answer questions along the way.

Real human support

Questions before your visit, during the process, or after you get your card? We answer the phone. You're not on your own.

How It Works

Four straightforward steps from booking to your first dispensary visit.

Book your appointment

Pick a time that works for you. New patient or renewal — both follow the same easy path.

Meet by phone

A Pennsylvania-approved physician confirms your qualifying condition. The visit usually takes 10 to 15 minutes.

Complete your state registration

Log in to the PA Medical Marijuana Program registry, pay the $50 ID fee (waived for Medicaid, SNAP, WIC, PACE/PACENET, CHIP), and submit.

Get your card & visit a dispensary

Your card arrives by mail. From there, you can purchase medical cannabis at any of Pennsylvania's licensed dispensaries.

Pennsylvania's 24 Qualifying Conditions

Pennsylvania recognizes 24 serious medical conditions. If you've been diagnosed with any of these, you may qualify for a medical marijuana card:

ALS
Anxiety disorders
Autism
Cancer
Chronic Hepatitis C
Crohn's disease
CNS nerve damage
Dyskinetic disorders
Epilepsy
Glaucoma
HIV / AIDS
Huntington's disease
Inflammatory Bowel Disease
Intractable seizures
Multiple Sclerosis
Neurodegenerative diseases
Neuropathies
Opioid Use Disorder
Parkinson's disease
PTSD
Severe chronic pain

Not sure if you qualify? Anxiety disorders and chronic pain are the most common qualifying conditions in Pennsylvania, and many patients qualify under more than one. Book a consultation and we'll help you figure it out.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to live in Pennsylvania?
Yes. You must be a Pennsylvania resident with a valid PA driver's license or state-issued ID to participate in the Pennsylvania Medical Marijuana Program.
Can I really do the whole appointment by phone?
Yes. Your appointment is a simple phone call — no video, no special app, no driving. Pennsylvania permits telehealth for medical marijuana certifications, including both new patients and renewals, and we conduct ours by phone for patient convenience.
How long does the appointment take?
Most appointments run 10 to 15 minutes. We block more time than that so you have a chance to ask questions and get real answers.
How long until I have my card?
After your certification, you complete the state registration and your physical card arrives by mail. Most patients can begin purchasing at dispensaries within a few days, depending on state processing times.
What if I'm renewing my card?
Pennsylvania renewals are simpler than the original certification. The full visit happens over the phone, the physician submits to the registry the same day, and you pay the $50 annual state fee through your patient account.
Can I switch to Green Bridge if a different provider certified me last time?
Yes. Your certification is tied to you and your qualifying condition — not to a specific physician's office. Switching providers for your renewal is straightforward.
Does insurance cover my appointment?
Insurance does not currently cover medical cannabis certifications in Pennsylvania. We keep our pricing transparent and affordable for that reason.
