Steps for a New Patient to obtain

a PA Medical Marijuana Card

  1. You must have a PA ID or Driver’s License and it must be current.

  2. The state has approved 24 medical conditions for medical marijuana. Those are found on our website. If you are diagnosed by your medical professional with one of those conditions, our doctors just need to see proof of that. One picture of a medical document or from your healthcare portal is all we need.

  3. If you suffer from an undiagnosed condition, our doctors are able to provide Anxiety Evaluations and Chronic Pain Evaluations for an extra charge.

  4. With your PA ID and diagnosis in hand, you can now complete your request to be certified.

  5. Complete our online form HERE. We do not ask for money until we know that you will qualify.

  6. Once you submit your information, you will need to set up a patient account with the PA DOH. This is your online “filing cabinet” where all of your information will be and where you will interact with the state. You can register as an adult patient HERE. If you struggle with technology, we are happy to take care of this step for you. There’s no need to request that service. We will do that automatically and send you your login credentials.

  7. Once we have received your request and reviewed your qualifications, we will email you some new patient information and a link to make your payment.

  8. Once payment is received, you will be placed on our schedule for one of our doctors to call. Typically that’s done the same day or next and the call doesn’t take long. If you have any questions regarding the process/payment/medicine, those are handled by our office or our staff pharmacist.

  9. Once the doctor completes the call, your certification is sent to the state. Once it’s posted to your account, you will receive a confirmation email with further instructions from the state to login to your account and complete your first annual transaction with them.

  10. Your card is now in the mail. Typically those arrive in 7-10 days. You can monitor your progress in your card status box located on your profile settings page.

  11. ALWAYS MAKE SURE YOUR MAILING ADDRESS IS UPDATED BEFORE DOING ANY OTHER STEPS. ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS. INCORRECT MAILING ADDRESSES CAN ADD TIME AND COST TO THE PROCESS.
