Less Wasted, More Living
A real conversation for college students about alcohol, cannabis, and making it out of college with your body, brain, and future intact.
No scare tactics. No “Just Say No.” Just science, stories, and strategies students actually remember.
Built for Real College Campuses
Less Wasted, More Living is designed for colleges, universities, and the people who keep them running: student affairs, wellness centers, Greek life, athletics, residence life, and more.
If your campus is tired of glossy “don’t drink” campaigns that everyone ignores, this is a different kind of program: direct, data-driven, and grounded in harm reduction.
What Students Actually Learn
- How alcohol and cannabis affect the brain differently — and why alcohol drives so much campus harm.
- The real numbers behind deaths, assaults, DUIs, and hazing tied to drinking.
- Where cannabis risk overlaps with, and differs from, alcohol — especially with daily use or mixing.
- How law and campus policy really work, from DUIs to code of conduct violations.
- Concrete harm-reduction strategies for themselves and their friends.
Not Another “Just Say No” Lecture
Most programs either lecture students with scare tactics or shrug and say “just be smart.” This one does neither.
- Treats students like adults and gives them real science and real stories.
- Centers harm reduction: if they do drink or use, how do they reduce risk?
- Honors victims of hazing, assault, and alcohol-related deaths by telling the truth about how preventable many tragedies are.
- Invites students to imagine a campus culture where “having fun” doesn’t mean not remembering what happened.
Modules That Can Stand Alone or Stack Together
Module 1 – Why Alcohol Owns the Weekend
How campus culture, sports, Greek life, and cheap booze create the perfect storm. National data plus real cases, including Big Ten and Penn State stories.
Module 2 – Alcohol vs. Cannabis in the Brain
A clear, BS-free comparison of how alcohol and THC change decision-making, memory, reaction time, and long-term health.
Module 3 – Crime, Consent & “I Don’t Remember”
The hard conversation about alcohol-related assaults, hazing, injuries, and sexual violence — plus scenarios and bystander tools students can use that same night.
Module 4 – Law, Policy & Consequences
What federal and state law say about alcohol and cannabis, how campus policy works, and how fast a DUI or code violation can derail scholarships, visas, or sports.
Module 5 – Harm Reduction & Better Nights Out
Practical strategies for safer drinking, safer cannabis use for legal-age students, and why mixing the two is where things often go off the rails.
Module 6 – College Without the Train Wreck
How to build a subculture where students still have fun, but wake up knowing where they are, what they did, and that their friends are safe.
Led by a Penn State Alum & Cannabis Educator
Ron Boyles, Jr. is the founder and CEO of Green Bridge Society and attended Penn State University. He has years of experience working with medical cannabis patients and healthcare professionals across multiple states.
Ron combines cannabis science, harm reduction, and a deep understanding of campus drinking culture into a program that feels honest, current, and relevant to students — not like a re-cycled health class lecture.
