“Where’s my card?”
Where's My PA Medical Marijuana Card? What to Do When It Doesn't Arrive
You got certified. You paid the state fee. Now you're waiting... and waiting. Where's your card?
This is one of the most common problems we help patients with. Here's what's going on and how to fix it.
---
First: Understand Who Does What
This is where most confusion happens.
Green Bridge Society (or your doctor): Certifies you and submits that certification electronically to the state. We do NOT print or mail cards.
Pennsylvania Department of Health: Runs the patient portal, collects the $50 state fee, prints your card, and mails it to you.
If your card is late or missing, it's almost always a state issue — not a doctor issue. The certification is done. The state just hasn't sent your card yet.
---
How Long Should It Take?
After your doctor certifies you AND you pay the state fee, the PA DOH typically mails your card within 1-2 weeks.
Sometimes it takes longer. The state doesn't provide tracking numbers, so there's no way to know exactly when it ships.
---
Check These Things First
Did you pay the state fee?
Your card won't print until you pay the $50 state fee (or get approved for a waiver). Log into your portal and check "Make Payment." If it says "No payment due," you're good.
Is your address correct?
The state mails your card to whatever address is in your Profile Settings — not what's on your ID. Log in and double-check. If it's wrong, your card went somewhere else.
Has it been at least 2 weeks?
Give it a full 2 weeks from when you paid the state fee. If it's been less than that, it may still be on the way.
Check your mailbox carefully.
The card comes in a plain envelope from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. It doesn't look special. Make sure it didn't get tossed or overlooked.

It's Been More Than 2 Weeks. Now What?
Step 1: Log into your PA DOH portal
Go to padohmmp.custhelp.com and check your "Card Status." It should show your card as active.
Step 2: Verify your address is correct
If your address was wrong, update it. You may need to request a replacement card.
Step 3: Contact the PA DOH
Call the state helpline at 888-733-5595. They can tell you when your card was mailed and whether you need a replacement.
Step 4: Request a replacement if needed
If the card was lost in the mail or sent to the wrong address, you'll need to request a replacement through the portal. There may be a fee.
---
My Card Shows Active But I Don't Have It Yet
If your portal shows your card as active but you haven't received it physically, you have options:
Digital card: Some dispensaries accept the digital version from your portal. Call ahead and ask.
Keep waiting: If it's been under 2 weeks and your address is correct, it's probably still in transit.
Request replacement: If it's been 3+ weeks, call the PA DOH or request a replacement card through the portal.

Card Not Working at the Dispensary?
That's a different issue. Usually it means:
• Your certification expired
• Your state fee payment didn't go through
• There's a glitch in the state system
Don't leave the dispensary. Text HELP + your name and DOB to 814-360-5353 and we'll help you troubleshoot on the spot. We can often get you through the door in minutes.
